I just exported a backup. I was watching and saw 2 types of errors, but they went by too fast to gleen all the info. I saw "error" in red, but could not catch anything else. I also saw a message "... time exceeded ... file not ..." The export went to completion. If I select import, the file shows up on the available files list. Is my export complete? Were these correctable errors?

I don't know. The error handling on export isn't good. Sorry!

Not what I wanted to hear. Renders export about useless. Couldn't you cancel the export if an error occurrs? I'll have to go back to manually exporting using Cardreader.

I am pretty sure that NVBackup does try to delete the file if the export fails. However, if the ftp connection goes down badly enough, it won't be able to do that. Or if there are no delete rights.

Sounds like you think if the exported file exists, it is good? Is there any way to capture the log file that speeds accross the screen? I could then check the status of the files that reported an error.
Export is a nice little feature. The app is great! Can't tell you the number of times it has saved me.

I don't use the FTP feature, but in backing up to the SD card, the log file is saved on the SD card in the folder containing the backup. File is called %%log.txt.

That is a backup log of some sort. I am interested in the export log (FTP log).

I have been playing with the export some today, and I am gaining some of my confidence back in it. The problem that causes the red "error" (I can't determine what it is) is recoverable. NVBackup logs out and in and re-does the file. The other message "... time exceeded ... file not ..." I believe is not time, but quota. I believe I have used up all my space on the server. This is not recoverable and the user has to recognize this condition (something I can live with.
