Believe it or not, I dropped mine 5 minutes after I took it out of the box, setting it in the cradle for the initial charging, it fell off the table. It's been fine.

I dropped mine a couple of days ago. It fell when I unfolded the comforter. Hit a concrete floor but on top of the comforter. It did damage the swivel...it's loose now :(. But, I called the seller for an exchange...within 30 days of purchase...hehe.

I have been using the included handstrap, it has saved it more than once.

I went to the Sony service center and they told me that they will have it repaired in 7 days. I hope they will update my rom if they have any newer version, specially a newer program for manage the battery.

I actually fell into a pretty deep stream with my NZ in my pocket and almost had a heart attack. I didn't even remember that it was in my pocket and what the state of it might be until atleast 20 minutes later. When I looked at it, it was little wet on the outside and had some water ON the screen, thankfully not under. I remembered that if you suspect water has gone into an electronic device, sometimes if you let it evaporate then it could be unharmed, but if you power it on with water inside then it could short-out the circuit. I was so anxious I took the risk, but it worked PERFECTLY!!!! I am so happy (especially with Sony's strong build of this device).

Although you theory above is correct for most electronic devices, but you have to remember that a PDA is never really "OFF" as long as you have juice in the batteries. PDAs just go into "SLEEP" or "STANDBY" mode. I think that the water didn't actually get into the device that much.

My son went to prom the other night, and I went to take some pics with the NZ90.
All was going well, until he accidently knocked the unit out of my hand.
My heart stopped as the clie flew a several feet and landed with a sickening thud. The memory stick, stylus, and cf cover went flying upon impact.
I just knew my clie was trash...but after picking up the pieces, and catching my breath, we were back to the picture taking.
So far all is well. :D

Sony makes one tough PDA!

My handstrap has saved me a couple of times...from my one-year-old son and his "hold-me-now, daddy!!!"
