since some days i've a disturbing noise on my T2 while working, like a sort of faible hiss. it is not an audio problem, as while it's off the noise persists. i tried with a soft reset, uselessly. what could be wrong????
Have you found out where exactly the noise is coming from? Your device might have the infamous screen whine.

You could try a different digitizer.

My T3 has a "hissing" sound coming from the screen when its on that gets a little louder when you tap. Maybe you have the same problem?

Many have said that the hissing does come from the screen. Underclocking the cpu may help enough that it doesn't disturb. Warpspeed is "famous" about this ability. This problem is tend to appear in the some of the new palm's devices but not so old devices. Maybe palm doesn't use so good electronics between screen and power lines. I don't know but this isn't really any common thing on sony devices, very rare actually.
If I understand it correctly, this issue has to do with the power line and the screen data line going to the screen. There are certain update frequencies and line levels that don't play nicely together. Using WarpSpeed or somehow shielding the power and line signal are the only "safe" ways I know of to get rid of this once it starts on a device. If you don't care about shortening the lifespan of your screen, WhineHack is a free app that will totally silence screen noise.
