Free hack to assign new ON-OFF button?

Is there any FREE hack that I can download and install on my TG50 so that I can assign the record button (or any thumb-board key) as the new on-off button? I understand that McPhling is not free.

I must agree, the hold-power switch is really cumbersome to use.
I really dont want to buy anything as this is the only thing so far that I want to do by way of modifying my TG50. That's why I want a freeware hack to do this.
