battery charging stopped

I plugged in my charging cable, after attaching it to my SJ33, noticed the little green charging light and then went on to other tasks. Since it was below 25%, I knew charging would take some time. However, less than 30 minutes later, the green charging light was off, a low battery warning displayed when I turned it on, charge was down to 9%, and I can't get the green charging light to come back on.

yes, I know that it's an orange light when it's charging - misspoke

I took it home, and tried again, and again - finally getting it to start charging around 9.30 pm on Tuesday night. When I got up Wednesday morning before an early flight, it was still glowing orange, as tho it were still charging. Upon my return Wednesday afternoon, the orange light was still glowing - hadn't turned itself off, as it usually does. When I checked to see how full the battery was, it was at 100%.

So something was amiss, but I'll wait to see what develops further.
