My New Grey NX70 is Charging As I Type....

.........and am very glad I chose the gunmetal instead of silver. Question is: do I really need to charge it for 4 hours for the initial charge? And I can't turn it on until then? Pls reply in next hour or so to provide relief..........thx.

You should initially, but you can turn it on while it's in the cradle and it should be okay.

I found the first few chargings take longer for the LED to turn off.. I don't know whether it's psychological 8-) or because it's a new battery !

Took the leap and turned it on whilst charging....wow....whatta display....coming from a PEG-710 for the past 2 years, this is even more spectacular. Amazing the improvement in just 2 yrs, actually a little less than 2 yrs. More feedback to follow, but gotta go to bed. (I know....if I was truly geekish I'd stay up most of the night and play).

If I had a silver one already I do not know if it's worth the trade. I mean functionally it is the same.

If you still want to do it, there are some grays on eBay still. Also a good place to sell yours.

Got it from Amazon...they have others currently. Did not seek out the 'best deal' after a rather bad online experience with Techsavings.com....sought security, hell with the extra $50....still trying to get my money back from them.
But there are multiple venues out there with grey/gunmetal still.....amazon, myinfinity, tristatecamera, ebay, etc.....punch in nx70 grey/gunmetal in your search engine and you'll find them....range is like $537-$599.........IMO, grey/gunmetal is far, I mean far, superior to the silver....you gotta like to look at your device, don't forget....!

Dude, go for it...........still remember a bumper sticker from my days in snow-bound Boston that energized me to move to California: 'Lifes too Short to Drink Bad Wine...'

You're doin the right thing => evaluating if a piece of gear U will use daily/hourly is estetically correct, according to the left side of your brain....if silver begins to resemble some bad wine to you, best to make a move before the 'limited edition grey/gunmetal' units are gone.

I know you're right, but now I have to find someone to buy my silver NX to justify me getting the gunmetal one. I just can't see myself having 2 exact same units. And it sucks cause I don't have much time with everyone selling out FAST... I hate to be in such a situation.

Why oh why! The misery! Why did I get the silver one when I had the chance to get the grey one? I got mine from myinfinity.com and put the NX70v in my shopping cart. Before checkout, I examined the model number to make sure that it was the NX70v and not NR70v and noticed a tiny little text that said (Grey). So I switched it to silver for two reasons: 1) I heard from Cliesource that the color rubs off on the gunmental clies and 2) the color was actually grey, not black like I would have liked. But the pictures above show a black one!

Ok, enough of my whining. Anyone wanna trade or sell their gunmetal? :)

I waited for my gunmetal and it was well worth it!!!

First of all the colors are SO much better against the grey, secondly that white-silver is just too harsh on the eyes to have a whole Clie be that color and thirdly I've heard a lot of people who have probelms keeping the silver clean, it gets smudges and near the hinge it makes weird marks on the casing.

I would have a hard time selling one to buy the other too so good luck:)

Stumpie is right. His logic is pretty much what I felt when I sold my 2 month old TT and prepared to purchase a new Clie. I know $ony will release an updated verison a month after I get it, but who cares. By the end of the year I will be heading for OS6 and the next Clie (or early next year). Thank you for extd. warranties.
