I have a third-party software calendar (Calendar Creator) that I sync with....but to make a long story short....encountered other sync'ing problems....had to reinstall the Palm software....
At some point, I received a message for third-party conduit's, which I this time did not select (in my troubleshooting). Now I need to be able to sync with this calendar program (which did work before all this happened), and cannot for the life of me find where to select this option. I cannot get the conduit to show up in the Custom window in Hotsync Manager.
I've talked with Sony and they don't have a clue as to what I'm talking about.
HELP! The ability to sync with this calendar is my life!

Reinstall the Palm desktop this time taking the option to retain third-party conduits. If that doesn't work, you'll have to reinstall the calendar software which should reinstall its conduit.

I have reinstalled the Palm software - this message does not appear when you install!!! I don't know where it came from! Is there some other option where it can be found? Is it within some other software that is installed along with the Palm Desktop?
The calendar software is ready to install the conduit but without the option in the Palm software, it doesn't appear in Hotsync!

Hey MtnBird,
Did you ever get this figured out? We're seeing the exact same thing. Thanks!

Yes - and - No. I talked to Sony too and very poor help - he had no clue as to what I was talking about.
What did finally work is that I did a system restore on my computer back to a date when I knew it worked. And that did the trick.....

I have a Zire31 and Calendar Creator 9.0 Delux.
I found Broderbund's help to be absolutely useless and their people condescending. They are experts at packaging, and are quite clear that they will not service what they produce. They only support that absolute latest version of their software--and then, only if you bought it directly from them!
Anyway, I had a similar problem and fixed it thus:
I carefully installed the Palm Conduits in Calendar Creator and got no where.
I dl'ed a program called Conduit Buddy which shows which conduits are active in HotSynch and allows you to install/remove others. Sure enough, Conduit Buddy showed I had TWO calendar synchs and TWO contact/address synchs. I'm not sure about this, but I figure Palm OS saw the conflict and decided to stick with the original conduits from the Palm Desktop. The Calendar Creator conduits didn't even show up in HotSynch's "custom" menu.
With some trepidation, I deleted the older calendar and contact conduits. When I did, HotSynch defaulted to the Calendar Creator; they showed up on the custom menu and everthing works fine. Hope this helps someone else.
