Found it interesting that both my record and charge lights went out and I hadn't dropped it or anything. They wouldn't come on with charging, recording and so forth. SO, I gave my clie a whack on the side and they are now working. Sounds like a loose connection inside. Again concerns me about the quality controls. Never had such a problem with my clies before.

Yeah, the color is great.

But annoying when you are using it, and someone is looking at you...

Can you make sure the power chord is plugged at the back of the cradle

I dont know if you want to try this, and I wouldn't know how you would go about it either but, sometimes Mobos do that. They lockup for no reason as well. Some people short the quartz battery terminal on the mobo by bridging the connection between the cathode and the anode for a few seconds. You could try something similar, but I wouldn't know if such a technique exists within Handheld circles.

I'm just gonna send it back to sony.

It doesn't matter much, it's just a couple of lights that one could live without.

My new NX70V is taking over, however, so to the unregistered person above, HAHA!

Don't worry, man, I'm not gone from the TG50 for good...

I just wanted an NX for play. I bought an extra 128 meg MS, record videos on my NX (including recordings of DVDs straight from the monitor), then pop it out and play it back on my TG50 when I'm bored at work.

TG50 is my business "tool," while the NX is my play toy.

"TG50 is my business "tool," while the NX is my play toy."

TG50 for business coz of its size or batterylife? Ho0w do you compare the battery life of NX and TG50?

Wait, if you dropped your TG50, and you are returning it for an NX70, how can you have both? Are you going to buy another?

Graph, the TG50 size is the main reason I carry it all the time. The NX is too big, and you have to swivel it around every time you want to use it. Also, it's just too flashy, everyone wants to touch it and play with it.

With regards to battery life, the TG wins, hands down. The fact that I am always using the camera on my NX doesn't help matters, either. Don't get me wrong, the NX battery life is good, but the TG's is outstanding for a 200mhz device.

rTenshi, I have both a TG and NX, as above. How could I afford it? Well, I have a good job, car's paid off, school is mostly paid off, I get all my meals free at my workplace, and best of all, no nagging wife to watch over my expenses. ;)
