For me, the prospect of spending $27 and being able to put some old CF cards from my digital camera to good use is quite appealing.
I alos, sprung for the Wi-Fi card, but that was a joke. 6MB of RAM indeed. Who can afford that? The card sits unused (and in pristine condition) in a drawer. It's not ever likely to see the light of day!
OK, so I hotsynced the CF utility and downloaded some MP3 files from my PC. I put them in the root directory on the CF card. FileZ calls the card an 'External Card' (the Memory Stick is called 'MS' as usual). It saw that I had about 90MB of data, but couldn't see any of the individual files.
I did the masquerade thingy but AudioPlayer couldn't see any tunes. It did recognize that some data was there (it said the card had 7MB free of the 96 available.
I went back to the PC and moved the tunes to a Palm\Program\MSAUDIO directory (similar to how the tunes are stored on the MS, but it made no difference.
To sum it up, the CF utility hasn't made anything crash. Some of the Apps recognize it, but as yet, I haven't been able to get any useful function.
Any pointers would be appreciated....
