Is there a way to assign a DA to a hard button? Right now I'm using the bottom bar of ZLauncher but I'd like to be able to activate the DA during fullscreen ops.
Thanks,
Joe
BTW, I have ButtonEX on my TX but that doesn't do DA'S.

If you install mySkin (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&PartnerREF=&siteid=1&prodID=72007) or myKbd (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&PartnerREF=&siteid=1&prodID=119441), you can add DAs to your favorites, which then show in the recently used applications menu. Then assign the first hard button to a press-and-hold macro in mySkin to activate the recent applications list. It will show your favorites and the recent applications, including your added DA. You can also use mySkin to replace the function of ButtonsEx; the first hard key can be assigned to any program of your choice with the macro feature.
mySkin is shareware, but these features persist after the trial period is over if you don't purchase a license. Worth every penny to buy it in my opinion. As you see, it does much more than add fancy DIA skins.

FerdFerd, mySkin works great. A million thanks. :) If I get the time and it's not to resource hungry I may try skinning the DIA?
While I've got your ear, how to you clear the list of apps in the pop-up window? I've got 6 apps and my DA but only the DA is listed in mySkin-Option-Favorites. I also cleared the favorites list in ZL with no effect.

I don't think you can clear the recently used applications list in mySkin. Less recently used ones drop off the list and more recently used ones are added. I have a vague recollection that Alex Pruss, the author of mySkin, said that it just uses the default most recently used applications list from the Palm OS, supplemented with the list of favorites. You can put lots of favorites on the list.
Have you looked at McPhling (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&PartnerREF=&siteid=1&prodID=11596)? It gives you more control over what gets on the most recently used list, such as how many applications to list. It also has an option to clear the list. And, I am reasonably sure it will launch DAs. I'm not a McPhling user, so I'm not sure about assigning it to a hard button. McPhling (shareware) and its author have a good reputation.
Another Pruss application you might be interested in is MetaDA (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&PartnerREF=&siteid=1&prodID=124550), which is a DA to launch other DAs. I have that on my favorites list and then use it to access all of the others.
Oh, and be sure you notice that mySkin also allows you to change the status bar on your TX to restore the home button there, just like homewithfind does.

I use myKbd also by pruss, which has all the functionality of myskin and more. I use it for many of the things FerdFerd described. I also use MetaDA in my favorites list to launch my other DAs. Pruss is an excellent developer and his shareware applications are worth every penny. I also use his free backup app NVBackup.

I guess this wanders a little bit off topic, but I recently discovered how important Alex Pruss's work has become to how I use my TX. I have and use mySkin, NVBackup, FontSmoother, MetaDA, ToggleFS DA, ScreenDumpDA, OffFlush, and FlushDA. The first four are very important to me.
Once I learned how to use mySkin properly, I deleted ButtonsEx and HomeWithFind.
Edit: This list grows. I also have Palm Ishido.

I don't use Fontsmoother, I use Screenshot5 instead of screendumpda, I have never heard of toggleFS DA, And I use myKbd, also by Alex, instead of mySkin. I use the rest extensively. Plus I use RescoBackup which has Some of Alex's code in it (Jan, the lead developer for RB, and Alex worked on the new OffFlush 2.0 together). I got rid of homewithfind and buttonsex as well.

ToggleFS DA would only be of use to FontSmoother users. It's a DA that toggles smoothing on and off.

I registered Fontsmoother a few days ago, NVBackup gets used often and OffFlush is on my TX. If I ever install more than the one DA I use I'll take a look at MetaDA. Oh, add mySkin to my list. Alex is something else.
Also, how do you remove HomeWithFind?

The toggleFS DA toggles FontSmoother.
Edit: Guess I should have went through the thread before replying.
