My LifeDrive is deceased and Im not prepared to give Palm anymore of my money (yet). What PDA would you recommend as being :

1) RELIABLE (really important after my LD)
2) Possible to get lots of good programs for (both pay for and free)
3) Uses SD and/or CF (I have a 1gb sd and 4gb md from the LifeDrive doing nothing
4) I can read ebooks (very very important), watch movies and listen to music on check dictionaries on.

Also,

I can get this in Japan, what do you think?

And the specs are here:

Id honestly appreciate your advice and experience as this PDA has got to last me longer than just year that the LD did.

The chart you linked to says this device uses Mini SD cards. Your SD and CF cards would be of no use. I don't know anything else about this device but thought I'd point out that observation.

I would look into a Tapwave Zodiac2.

TH55: Slow, poor hardware config (I like the TH55 but have difficulties with their hardware config)
LifeDrive: Big, unstable, battery stinks, I returned it within 14 days
TX: Unstable, I returned it within 14 days
Zod2: Stable, awesome hardware config, two SD slots, graphics accelerator

I have had all of the above and intentionally listed only my complaints of everything but the Zod. Of all of these devices the Zod really is my favorite. The device also has bluetooth and one of the few that has a hardware button associated with the radio to turn it on and off and it has a blue led to notify you of status. You could probable ebay two Zods to one of recent new models of handhelds but I think you'll pay more money for lesser of a device. If you want a warranty then buy two!
