I'm going to the store today to possibly grab my TG-50. Now, I have an NR70v with 16mb of RAM, and I consistently use about 10-12mb of it.

I'm very worried, because the TG-50 barely has 11mb free on it. I'm already using my memory stick as much as possible without buying another program like Powerrun. LauncherX shortcuts have been a lifesaver. I just have a few questions about the software that comes with the TG-50

1. Does the Cliemail conduit only put attachments in RAM? Or is there an option to save the attachments to Memory Stick automatically during a hotsync?

2. Does Cliemail (or conduit) automatically delete e-mails on the handheld that are older than a certain amount of days?

3. Does Cliemail automatically launcher viewers for attachments?

Hmmm, I guess these are more Cliemail questions than they are TG50 questions...

Hi -

Well, I've had my TG50 about 3 weeks , having switched over from an N760C. I don't use the mail portion, so maybe this isn't a fair comparison.

But in my opinion, I've got more "stuff" in the 8.8MB I'm using than I ever had in the 7.xMB in the N760C. My guess is that 1) I don't use a launcher (I use the standard Clie launcher) and 2) I'm not using any of the "hacks" I used to since I don't seem to need them anymore.

I've got a couple of big programs (dictionary, thesaurus, Japanese language things) that are stored on the MS with just the basic program in RAM, and that is very acceptable. The speed of the TG50 seems to help access to the MS - even though I know it's probably not supposed to matter, it "feels" faster and I don't notice any slowdowns on MS-based file access.

Otherwise, I'm quite happy with it overall.

My 2 cents' worth . . . :)

Use the jackflash application to free up more space and I guess your problem will be gone.

However, some TG50 do not have flash memory so I guess you have to wait for the Flash tester by brayder to determine do you have flash memory.
