Ebay starting bid of $85 with auction end time of Oct-03-06 20:13:49 PDT (5 days 9 hours) from this post, Item number: 230033287863 (http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-Clie-PEGA-CC5-GPS-car-cradle-for-NX-TG-TH-series_W0QQitemZ230033287863QQihZ013QQcategoryZ73332QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

I got mine from eBay, no problem. Here is my setup:

Probably the most cost effective idea is to look for package deals like this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-Clie-TH55-PDA-Pega-CC5-Sat-Nav-I-R-Keyboard_W0QQitemZ160033920374QQihZ006QQcategoryZ38331QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Separately, these items would go for around $450-500. But together it should end up much less. I often see these combos on ebay UK, so grab a hold of one and sell off the extra TH55 to make up your cost. Or better yet, keep the extra '55 as your primary unit and sell your NX73V. You'll gain built-in wifi, a better display, lighter handheld, MUCH longer battery life, and more memory!

BTW, I paid about $150 for my US cc5 brand new & unopened--when they're used you might be missing some parts that could be critical for installation.

Good luck!

I didn't know that you're in UK. The best way is to buy the set TH55/E1 + CC5/E as salerep has suggested. I'm willing to buy the TH55/E1 part from you at half (50%) of your winning auction. Just send me a PM and I'll pay you via PayPal.

The reason I suggest this is because CC5/U is only for US with StreetFinder C3 with a total of 2 CD-ROMs (app & US map) navigation softwares. For UK you need CC5/E that comes with Navman SmartSt with a total of 5 CD-ROMs (apps for 2 CDs and European maps for 3 CDs) navigation softwares.

Besides the auction shown by salesrep, Try to bid on these auctions also:

I never have NX, so I don't know the answer.

As far as freewares, I use:
1. World Maps in CO References
2. SCSILibrary - for using your TH55 as removable drive w/o installation CD
4. DALauncher - for launching DAs via command bar ("/" over status bar)
5. HRCaptDA / DM - for screenshot.
6. SharkScanDA - for scanning hotspots
7. Netmon - for turning on / off WiFi via Silk plug-In icon
8. SharkLink - for shortcut to various weblinks.
9. WorldAlarm Clock- for 3 time zones and 5 alarms
10.Picsel Accelerator - for speeding up Picsel Viewer file opening.
11.SnapCalc5 - for popup calculator on top of an open app. (multi-tasking)
12.LinfoDA - for popup date, battery, RAM, MS memory status

More on the "how to" use the apps:
- To take screenshot, just launch command bar and tap on the blue DAL (DA Launcher) and select HRCaptDA. If you have MS, you can dump the images directly in the MS.
- LinfoDA and SharkScanDA can be launched similarly and also assigned to the yellow DAL.
- To scan hotspots, just launch command bar and tap on one of the yellow DAL
button.
- To launch Netmon, tap on Silkplug-in button or do a horizontal swipe over
status bar and sellect Netmon.
- To add weblink, launch Sharklink and add the web address and name. I
add two weblinks in there (1src and Google). To connect to one of the
weblink, say Google, all you need to do is to scan for hotspot, pick one,
then tap the Google icon on the launcher screen. You don't need to go to
NetFront3.1 any more.
