I was reading through some threads and a few people seemed confident that DataViz was releasing a new suite 'in the near future'. No word at the web site. Anyone pick up "chatter" on this?
Will they fix
stupid doc_1
stupid doc_1_1
stupid doc_1_1_1
with 2 PCs????

They are retiring DesktopToGo. See:
http://www.dataviz.com/products/desktoptogo/index.html
It's being replaced by BeyondContacts.
No mention on the website of retiring DocsToGo, which still appears to be one of their flagship programs...

So here's the link: http://www.dataviz.com/products/beyondcontacts/index.html
The problem/question I have with this and with KeyContacts is support of Hi-res and Hi-res+. Other programs are updated often with new features and bug fixes. Look at the history of KeyContacts. It only has a couple of fixes and doesn't fully support Clie's like Datebk5, Agendus etc. I REALLY want a contact manager that supports all Outlook fields like these two programs, but I also want tiny fonts and hi-res+. Anyone else feel the same?

Gotcha. Maybe I should actually READ the words in the posts....
:)
I hope the new release is soon and has the native support that they talked about releasing

The way I read the info on their website, they are not going to have a current product to support Microsoft Office documents. If they haven't fixed the doc_1_1_1_1 problem it's unlikely they are going to work on it now. The only way I've found to fix it is to create my 1st version of a document on my pc and sync it to my Clie. If I start on the Clie, the pc never syncs properly.

Another complaint...
Sometimes Sheet to Go drops the formatting (report view) on my Excel files. Reports are very time comsuming and frustrating to reconstruct. Anyone else have this happen?

...uh, I know this will fall on deaf ears. I'm feeling that this post will be like my last ones. I will speak in the "present", and the "Gurus That Be" will be quoting the future.... Needless to say. I bought into DOCUMENTS TO GO which makes absolutely NO MENTION of "DESKTOP TO GO(???) You either launch Documents To Go or ya don't.... what am I missing here????

You're not missing anything...you're right, you bought Docs To Go, and you do NOT have Desktop to Go. It was my misread of another thread that brought up Desktop To Go...Sorry for the confusion.
(no deaf ears...I got ya)

The new version does not aim at fixing bugs (what a ...!) It was disclosed in February that the new version will have the capability to read native Office file format. See here:

Well, this is not a surprise now, as QuickOffice already does that job.

...whew, thanx for the comeback on that one. I kinda got lost for a minute there! Hey, wait, I think I'm still lost! (jus' kidding...) I'll hang around for the next few posts and try and put this all together...
Thanx, I appreciate it!
