I wish there was a program that could use a bluetooth headset as a audio and voice recorder on my palm tx. :D
Is there such a program?

Sometimes the bright idea comes to two persons in the same time. :)
I posted such request in some another forums and already recieved Dmitrygr`s answer: "...it is possible, but I wouldn`t deal with it"

With this software T5 and TX requires external MIC modulel
The trick is manage without external MIC modulel and to use BT Headsets for Cellular phones :p

I'm sure it could be done but it would take alot of programing involved but it'd be awesome if someone could also implement a function so that the bluetooth headset beeps make of the lack of the vibrator funtion aswell.. this could be gold!!

There are a few I want
1 I want to be able to have a different bacground for each screen
app, games, main, multimedia, system etc.
2 I want a program ( 1/2 in computer 1/2 in pda ) that will let me direct print a document thru the usb cable through the computer to the printer.
3 I want a program that lets me arrange how my list ( or icons ) appear on the screen, one long colomn on left side, or right side. or fill across the bottom coming up instead of across the top working down. That way I can arrange around a background picture.

Father Simon,
You may want to check out ZLauncher (http://www.zztechs.com). It will allow for different images per category/tab and you can control the icon layout (size, column number, row number, horizontal and vertical spacing).
As for a program that I wish existed, a PDF printer. Open a document/file, print it to a PDF file on the SD card. This can be done, as I used PDFPrinter for years on an EPOC based handheld.

I did a quick trial... yep you can have different pics for different tabs.. but not my pics... you have to use pics in the set... I fought the icons for a while.. not doing what I want.. too big to show off the icons.. and the text won't start at bottom and work up or go to one side... maybe later I will mess with it again.. like at work during lunch..
Zlauncher has a few nice features, but over all.. I will stick with the original.

simon,
you can use your own images as background, check out the manual and you will find out how,
but you can just copy some jpg files to your card and use it as background.
good luck

I think you should convince him more like, "this program would sell like hotcakes if one could use VOIP with it." :D

Not that I want to bring up an old thread but I noticed something interesting. I recently got some Kyocera BT headphones and I am using them with my Palm TX. Of course I had to use Softick Audio Gateway. This pair comes ready to work with phone too which mean it has a mic. Cool thing is I tried it with a free Sound Recorder and it WILL record what your headset hears, BUT the playback is super fast. It ends up sounding like a chipmunk. My guess is the possibility is there, but it just requires some tweaking. I'm just going to email Softick and see what they say.

So,
Have you got any answer from softtick.
I am interested, as I do have softick Audio Gateway, and I do also have Plantronics Pulsar 590A Bluetooth headset.
So, I am hoping...

sorry, no reply from them. It should be something they should buy into. I mean, it is something new and not even closely done by anyone else. The fact that it ALREADY can record should motivate them even more since the only part left to fix is the fast playback and if it is just recording in a weird way (which I guess would mean changing some settings).

@Palmisok~
The playback problem is probably a 'SoundRecorder' issue. I had the same result (odd playback) with an external mic I once made (for the cable connector).
Try recording to the internal memory rather than the card. Also, try using the default settings. This worked for me at the time.

haven't changed it from the default settings and it always recorded to internal memory when I did it. I knows there's other Palm sound recording software so I'll try and see what results I get.
GOOD NEWS I tried something called Personal Audio Recorder PRO from Toysoft Development Inc. GUESS WHAT?!?!? It will record from you BT headset!!! I'm using a combination of Audio Softick and a Demo version of PAR-PRO. I tried it and the playback is normal and well.
So So News It would seem PAR-PRO is the only program that is able to record via BT headset correctly. I was trying another program called Audacity Digital Voice Recorder. It's really good and seems to provide what I would want. Unfortunately, I can't find any settings that are so good. IMO PAR-PRO gives you a normal recording a 10/10. Audacity has a very low audio recording setting that does play it kind of normally, but really muddled and it's actually a bit faster than normal. Again this is on the LOWEST quality setting. There really aren't many options to play around with so if you want to try this I recommend PAR-PRO as the recorder. If anyone has any other software to recommend or try then please post.
whoops wrong thread... thats what I get for having multiple tabs >.<
