Hello all,

There seems to have been some confusion both early in the beta testing and again today (see http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11735) about a file posted various places on the net (including my server) titled CFutility. I have since renamed the file on my server to CFModemUtility to alleviate any future confusion.

To clear things up a bit - this file is NOT related to EruWare's driver but is Sony's Japanese language compact flash utility for using CF modems in NX/NZ machines which has been painstakingly translated to English by Pelaca. This file permits one to use the US available Ambicom CF modem in their NX/NZ.

Both Pelaca's translated file and EruWare's memory driver have the same name (CFUtility) and peacefully co-exist on my NX (at least so far, as I am waiting for my EruWare reg. code as we speak).

Cheers, Rich

Sorry to see you got labeled a warez site in another thread. Guess a mod was overzealous.

On a related note; early in the beta testing Larry (N2IFP) received an email from someone notifying him that he had posted an inadvertant link to the CF Memory Drivers because he linked to photos of the driver in action on my server. In reality, it was again the CFutility program for the modem....

Too bad they didn't think to use a different file name as the modem program had been discussed pretty extensively on the board prior to the driver development.

Funny thing is that it looked like C-Futility to me for a long time ;0.
