Hello.

I have the following problem.

After I had installed an update for the operating system, the MEMORY
stick is not any longer detected!

Also a Hardeset did not offer remedy.

Can someone say to me, which update I needs?

The following applications have the version date:

DspFwLoader v.1.0
DspHandlerLoader v.1.0
DspHandlerPatch v.1.0
MsaLib v.2.5
MsaLipUpdate25 v.1.1

What can i do?

I have had the same problem with the device not recognizing the memory stick at various points. If it is not a software conflict it may be the wear on the contacts in the memory stick slot. I have fixed this by a "Sony hemlich". When inserting the memory stick put firm pressure on the back of the device where it connects with the contact points. In all cases this has solved my problems with the NR 60, 70, for me. The pressure restores the appropriate contact and allows for recognizing the card. Good luck.

I do not own an NR-60/70 series, but I remember reading about the MS reading problem, it was somewhat common in the NR-60/70. There was a simple fix for it, but I don't remember the details. Try searching using different search words, and/or post this question in the NR series forum, I'm sure someone will know.

This is an easy an painless fix if you dont mind opening up the back of your case. You dont have to break any seals or do anything that would invalidate your warranty. Just undo the 7 screws on the back.
From there you need to put in place a semi-permanent version of the "sony heimlich". What you do is take a small piece of notebook paper cut for the size of the back part of the mempory stick slot, maybe fold it in half once for extra thickness (and thus pressure) and then surround it in scotch tape, cut to size and apply to the back. It is really very simple and if someone could tell me how to post a picture I could show you. Or if you like email me at nocturnal001@post.com and I will send you a picture.
