View Full Version : T665C doesn't play nice with a Pocketop / MicroInnovations wireless KB

I actually have the Micro Innovations keyboard (model MP-0118 or TKB700U) and I'm trying to get it to work with my T665C.

It works fine with a Palm m500, even if I have to bring the IR port a little closer.

With the T665C, I can get a decent connection, but I have to make sure the IR port directly faces the keyboard's IR port. After I lose that connection, for whatever reason, I can't seem to get it back, even if I bring the IR ports *very* close together.

Any way I can make these two toys play nice?

Make sure you have the lastest drivers from pocketop.net (.org?)- they worked for me a lot better than the CD driver did.

Make sure the IR covers are clean on both devices. A few fingerprint smudges really interferes with IR. (Clean the 'mirror' as well).

Other than that, I would guess that maybe something else is interfering? A hack, maybe?

I already have the latest drivers acquired from pocketop.net and the "mirror" was very dirty so after cleaning that and both IR ports, I have made a little progress.

I have to raise the keyboard a few inches off the ground in order for the signal to fall within range. At least the stand works well enough. It *is* an improvement over before.

I'm not sure if a hack is interfering with operations. I have McPhling, MiddleCaps, FindHack, and PopUpCalculator. I don't have a beaming app like BeamPro.
