they do make a comment on the microdrive. On the faq page they say microdrives work but only in read only mode.

Microdrive is shown as read only. I believe one of the issues was it's power requirements when writing. I think one fellow said his did work though.

One advantage over the MS Pro, the CF driver only takes up 28k vs 200k for the MS Pro.

Microdrives do write.

I have used my 1gig with read. Thing is its way slower and it takes lots of juice to run that sucker. You must understand that microdrives run like little hard drives rather than like RAM so its gonna eat your juice.

I have not fully tested with the public release...but I am pretty certian it should use both. You are just gonna loose power much faster than with a 1gig solid state card.

Cool... Yeah, I know how MicroDrives work, have used them as HardDrives in Pocket PC's before, and also as storage medium in my cameras, it is the same experience in a camera, the drive sucks battery. Still waiting for my reg code....

I just bought the CF driver, and am also eagerly waiting for my registration code. But I just now put a CF card into my NZ90 for the first time, and discovered that it sticks out by perhaps 1.5 mm. I was planning to have a MS and CF card in there sort of permanently, but I'm wondering if anybody has concerns or experience with possible damage to either the CF card or slot due to the card sticking out? I have been carrying my NZ90 vertically in a belt pouch, with the camera module at the top, but if I do this with a CF card in place, the whole weight of the unit rests on that card, hence the concern. The pouch *is* padded, which would help, but still. Have people been carrying their Clie upside-down?

Just curious...

Just pop your card in, they are extreemly durable..! Actually since there are not a eject feature, you would have a hard time getting the card out if it was flush with the body of your Clie. I put a piece of tape on one of my MicroDrives, so that it is easier to pull it out again.. Particularly since MicroDrives are very sensitive to pressure on the card, beucase that will ruin the physical hard drive.

Can anyone tell me if the NZ can use both a Memory Stick AND a CF card at the same time. For example, if you have audio files on both the MS and CF will Audio Player list all of the files? Can you tell each application where to look for or store files, i.e. can you use the CF card exclusively for MP3's and the MSPro exclusively for photos?

Yes, apps permitting. For example, Sony apps will only see one card at a time. Other non-Sony apps can see both cards if the app has multi-VFS support.

Acid Image is one that sees both cards together.

What you will have to do is go into the CF Util App and turn the MS Masquerading ON/OFF to switch between to cards, as far as Native Clie Apps Go (AudioPlayer, MoviePlayer, etc..)
