Earthcomber has free maps and maps that cost money. Using th Los Angeles map , they have an assortment of paid ads for companies to be placed on the map. For a large map like los Angeles, you should temporarily move the map off the memory card and into the pda memory so that the map will load faster(they have a function in their program to do it)
Maps can be configured for special tours, special sites and it is user activated. Lots of feedback,

There is no instant joy in using Earthcomber if you live in Los Angeles. This file is the biggest one they have. Right now I am trying to rid my hotsync of this huge program, without sucess. Since my hotsync initial set up doesnt list earthcomber program, I have to experiment on the hotsync set up to stop the unloadable program from taking up the hotsync time in syncrenizing. I have also used the windows program to delete the EC program, It might be different from when I tried before this program.
