HELP! How do I perform warm reset on Lifedrive?

I know that to do a warm reset on palm, I need to press and hold the up button and press the reset.

I can hold until the normal preference screen appears on other palm but on lifedrive the reset takes a bloody long time and I am afraid to damage my up button.

But my question is when should I release the hold on the up button key?
Can I release the up button after the 'Plamone' or 'Palm' screen disappears
OR do I need to press and hold the up button for a FULL 1-2 minutes and wait for the 'Palm Powered' screen to disappear to do a warm reset?

You can release when you see the Palm screen.
