Does anyone know where I can download additional device definitions for my T665 remote control? I have a Zenith VCR, a Korean TV, and some other brand of cable box, and so far the only thing I can control is my Sony TV. Any suggestions?
Thanks, all.

First, install the additional files from your original CD; the version on the Clie only does Sony, while other manufacturers are on the CD.
If that doesn't work, then you need to get other remote control software. Others will give you recommendations, I haven't used any of them.

It bugs me that Zenith TV codes are not part of the Clié Remote Commander software. I don't think there's a way to add them to the program.
I also use OmniRemote, but it costs $24.95, available at www.pacificneotek.com.

There is a member of this list who has developed software that can add to the definition files. It requires a little bit of homework about IR codes, but I've succesfully got RMC working with an Apex DVD player, and I know some others have got it working with cable boxes. The utility is called the RMC enhancer. I think the thread was lost when the site crashed. I'll try and find a link.

Screw that program and the universal code garbage. I spent forever searching for the right code thingy. I ended up getting Phillips Pronto Lite and it has a "learning" remote feature.

Thanks for the headsup on the Philips program. I downloaded the 15 day trial and it works great. I had my TV, Sat dish, DVD, and VCR on it in on it in a very short time. I will probably purchase it.:)

No problem. If someone wants to start hacking programs, they should start by making pronto lite icons and a way to rearrange the button configurations.
The only dislike I have for this program is that i have to jog down to get to another commonly used button. I would like to edit the icons to suit my needs.
All i want is power on/off, volume up/down, channel up/down, and favorite channel all on one main page. Then I can "learn" the buttons to whatever I need. Instead of having to jog down to the volume and then jog back up to hit favorite.
Hmmm. Anyone have any ideas how to get those icons changed?

Does anyone know if there are any plans for Phillips to develop this software for Palm OS 5.0? I'm a new NX70 user and I'm wondering if this is going to be a problem with alot of applications for a while.

How about remote settings for a Pentax digital camera?
