After months of use, lots of program installs and uninstalls, I need to clean up what is on my NR70 to make some room. Looking at the standard MS Gate list of files on the Clie, I see lot of files that do not seem to be linked to installed applications, but I am no judge of what is needed and what is not.
Is there an application out there that will look for unneeded files stored on your Clie and make recomendations for removal?
If so, I would appreciate a recomendation.

Yes, the cunning program is built in, call Hard Reset. Once the thing is empty again you reinstall all of your favorite software.

Alternatively use Filez (freeware) to determine what the files used to be related to and delete with confidence. You can use the four character Creator id as these are unique for each software application.
Filez can be sourced from www.palmgear.com
The Palm OS Creator ID Database is here
http://dev.palmos.com/creatorid/
Hope this helps!?

If you do go this route (which I recommend too) be sure to rename your back up file, or hotsync will reinstall everything back, which you DON'T want . . .
Good Luck!
