Hello there, I just saw an old web page http://www.palmzone.net/pdaguide.php?rop=myhandheld&id=116
It mentions Re-naming the Internal 160mb flash drive on your palm t5 so that future software instalations aren't confused by the directory and install files in the ram. I was able to rename the drive using the cardinfo app but any time I soft reset the darned drive renames itself to INTERNAL. Anyone else have this problem and solution?

As per same question and answer at BrightHand: initialisation of the OS most likely renames it all the time. Nothing you can do about it.

If anyone has a real problem with this, I could release a fix. Anyone wants one?

Me!

Also, I'd love to just combine the internal and INTERNAL drives on the T5. There was a seperate thread here a couple of weeks ago, but no possibilities :-( If you can do it, I'd happily pay. If not, nevermind, a man can dream! :-)

Good news for those who do want to re-name..found an old thread which explains. http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92780
After re-naming in only capital letters and no spaces you should probably do an initial hotsync so that docs to go, quick install etc..recognize the new name.

And would it survive a soft reset ?

EDIT: Me and my stupid keyboard ... I should have read that linked thread first.
So it seems this will allow to survive a soft reset. Nice ...
