I have the nr70 and Motorola t720 with the data cable. I'm able to get online with this combo (Verizon) and use AvantGo. How can I check my email thru "Mail" rather than logging onto the www. mail server? Can't I get it to check my email using the clie's email program? Isn't there an upgraded email program on the clie disk?

You can setup the Clie Mail program to use your existing POP and SMTP email server. Since your PDA can already dial into the Net, you are halfway there. You will need to go into Clie Mail and create a new email account using the wizard. You will need to identify your POP (incoming mail) and SMTP (outgoing mail) server and add in your email login name and password. Clie Mail has some issues with some types of SMTP servers. If you cannot get it to work, you may want to call your ISP. If that still doesn't help, you may need to get a different email program for this. I use Clie Mail for syncing my email to my PC, but to connect wirelessly I use the free PDA email program at http://www.eudora.com.

Great, thanks for the insight. I'll give Clie Mail a shot, but I think I'll end up with eudora. Appreciate the help.

No problem. Glad I could help. FYI, Eudora Mail is a bit faster than Clie Mail. It checks and sends about twice as fast as Clie Mail, so it helps save wireless airtime.
