I am from the UK and I am 15 years old.
I wish I could join in the 1src Chat however due to the time difference I would have to be up at about 2 am and my parents won't let me do that!! ;)

I hear ya, Iamaboff. My parents would get pretty upset when they would find out that I was up that late when I was your age.

I just had an overdose of 1src-podcasts: show 90, 91 AND 92 straight in a row while mowing the lawn :D
I am typing this while sipping my ... Diet Coke. (What else ?)
Same problem with timezone differences here regarding 1src chat (though I am old enough to decide for myself, I think my wife would not appreciate me chatting that late. She might get the wrong impression of me, you see ... ;) )
Oh yeah, for those not knowing me from BrightHand, I am from Belgium (a little country on the right side of UK on the other side of the Channel)

The glow from under my door and the sounds of the keyboard clacking away usually tipped them off. :)

Alan Thanks for giving me a shout out !! :). Yes we have a very huge and wonderful Palm OS Community here in our country and Mapalad.org was our official website. But of course there is a huge Palm community world wide and nice to get in touch and to receive a lot of info from other Palm OS user from other countries.
It seems that ALP will not solely focusing on mobile devices alone. I'm excited to see home appliances which runs on ALP. More Power

And let's not forget the build up to podcast 100! People with Gmail accounts can "call" 1srcpodcast@gmail.com and leave me a voice mail message which I will playback on shows 100 - 104.

I've created a new Skype (http://www.skype.com/) account called onesrcpodcast. Call that account and leave a message talking about the 1srcpodcast and editorial and I'll include it in 1SRC podcasts 100 - 104 as part of our 100th episode and second anniversary of the 1SRC podcast.

That's why you need a silent keyboard ;)
Great podcast. BTW, try drinking Diet Coke without the caffine and see how long it will continue to be the drink of the 1src Podcast. Now non-caffinated drinks are definately drinks based on taste not addiction ;). Just my two cents :)

WHAT?! I'm an IT professional. As a rule, we don't do non-caffine drinks.
And I'm glad you liked the podcast too. :)

Aren't all Diet Cokes caffeine free? At least I thought that's what it said on the can. . .

I never liked Diet Coke, I prefer the reeel stuff......Coke original! (the full 300 kcalories worth ;) )

btw Coke, partly due to its concentrated pH2.8 acidic content, is very usefull for:
Loosening rusty bolts
Cleaning dirty clothes; if you are out of coke use petrol instead
Cleaning dirty toilet bowls
Cleaning dirty windsheilds
Cleaning corroded battery terminals
Increasing tenfold your likeliness of developing stomach ulcers for regular drinkers
But it tastes SOO GOOD! :D

And let us not forget the most important thing about Diet Coke, it is good for powering Palm addicts! Forget Palm Powered, I'm Diet Coke powered!

I prefer black coffee as my prefered drink of choice (Downeast Hazelnut, to be precise) while listening to the podcast. I guess if I tended to listen to the show in the evening, as opposed to the mornings, it would be a cold tanqueray and tonic.

A black coffee is an acceptable substitue for a Diet Coke when listening to the show in the morning. When I'm working on servers overnight at work, I can usually be found with a black coffee with a Diet Coke chaser.

Don't forget, disintegrating teeth. BTW, your not really loving the taste, your loving the feel of it. Because without caffine, you would not be drinking it.

Yeah, really. I'm stuck with 1 more 12-pack of Pepsi (it was free after rebate at Walgreens), and I'm dying. Gotta get Coke back.

I had a roommate back in college that had about 15 cases of diet coke stacked in the corner of our dormroom when I moved in. He would leave empty, smelly, sticky, diet coke cans all over the place. Not to mention all the pizza crusts...
I can go one, but this aint the place for that!

Back to the Blackberry Connect software. I have downloaded it but have not installed it due to the 4mb of RAM it takes up and the other pressing thing is that I don't have a Blackberry account. As the Treo 650 supports Exchange Activesync what point does the Blackberry connect software have?
Alan - the point you made about hosted exchange accounts and the blackberry addon for the account rings true. webcentral.com.au has a hosted exchange service where for $AUD15 you can have the blackberry connection on for the hosted exchange box. When you have the like of Chattermail there is no need for the hotsed exchange - unless the contacts and calendar syncing is an essential need for the person out of the office.
I think that the Treo 650 falls down in the Exchange Activesync offerings by only allowing contacts to be sync with exchange only. If you want to desktop sync your contacts, you have to kill the exchange profile on the treo to enable hotsync functionality.
Anyway - I have listened to about 1o podcasts and eagerly await each Saturday morning for when I can download them (Sat morn my time).

Sounds like one of my best friends from high school & university (and still now)...very smart guy, just not hygenic. His mom just learned to back off from the squalor.
BTW - I'm living and working in China at the moment...so chalk up one more 1src listener/reader based in Asia!

(unfortunately, Palm devices are fairly rare over here, even among ex-pats...I think Palm really missed the boat on getting its devices into the market here (though they kind of did try back a few years ago with Legend - now Lenovo - not sure what happened but it didn't go anywhere). On the other hand, zztechs, the guys that do Zlauncher and CJKOS are based in Guangzhou, so it's not as if the country is totally Palm-less. But there's just a lot more Windows mobile stuff available...)

/end of ramble/I wonder why that is... Maybe that will change when Linux is introducted into the mix. There are alot of Linux freeks in China and abroad.
