First things first... get registered... It is totally free and you will get much more respectful replies to your queries.

Your clie cannot accept mpeg files via infared because whatever goes through infared has to go through ram, and palm ram can only take palm files, and anyway i dont believe any program can play raw mpeg files without conversion anyway...

try kinoma player and kinoma producer (www.kinoma.com) to convert movies to a readable format!

Hope this helps!

Actually, there's a program called CFZap that will allow you to put files directly from IR to the memory stick. I've used it on my T665 - the link is here: http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=7741
I've heard that it doesn't work with OS5, but YMMV. If you have a non-Sony IR camera it makes a great way to transfer pictures to memory stick!

But yeah, I don't see a way for an OS4 device to handle MPEG4...

Yup. The 66MHz CPU in the T675/665 just isn't strong enough to do MPEG4 :(

You need an ARM processor to decode MPEG-4 files. So because there isn't arm processor in 4.1 palm you can't do it.

But i want to tell you that i have a clié NR70 (PalmOS 4.1 66mhz, 320x480 screen), and i view simpsons episodes in it.

You need: Kinoma Producer 3(in your pc), Kinoma Player 2.2(in your clié)

So first select the video file, and your device(if is not in the preset, you select Custom device), this program convert the movie to a .pdb with the Cinepak codec (a simple codec that your clié can decode) file that can be readed by the kinoma player app.

The simpsons episode are in XVID format (20minutes each one, = 180mb),

I put this settings:

Frame rate: 15
Video Bitrate = 560 kbps
Audio Format = Clie Sound
Audio Channels= Stereo
Audio Bitrate = 47.000 kbps

Movie Size= 480x320 (Landscape)

Then the resulting file is about 90mb and i put it on the Memory Stick.

The quality isn't perfect, but is the best you can get with a 4.1 device.
