really basic question re: text size

I just got my UX-50, and my eyes feel older than they are. I'm having difficulty reading anything on the screen, especially when online, and can't figure out how to make text larger, like writing in a larger font size. How can I enlarge the font, and also, how do I zoom in when online?? (thanks!)

I have had a quick look and there does not seem to be an option to alter the rendered text size within NetFront.

I am not sure that the system font size can be altered either - I had a quick look in the Preferences app, but there is nothing obvious in there. Maybe font sizes can only be changed in specific applications?
