Memory Stick PRO Software Update?

Do I need to install it if the memory stick PRO works fine on my PDA?
Does it increase transfer speed?

I installed because I was having some problems transferring files using MS Import/Export. The other issues didn't seem to be a problem with me, such as playing movies and listening to MP3s. It is interesting to note that this update still doesn't address playing ATRAC3 files from the MS Pro. Is it possible Sony is giving up on this form of copyright protection?

yeah, many users had the same problem with the MS Import/Export. So it would be wise to have the update of MS PRO.

I've the 256mb MS Pro. It's reading speed is faster than normal MS by 60% but it's writing speed is slower by 10%, unfortunately. Well nothing is perfect. :D
