ux50 has no ROM ID

err...ux50 has no ROM ID, the prograM, HK-Explorer requires a ROM ID, how do I set ROM ID for the ux50

had the same prob a while ago/.......i sent in my clie for repair and when they flashes my rom the tech did not tag the id so i had to send it back in and have him "name " the rom agendus 9 needs the rom name. so yeah send her in to sony....have you recently flashed your rom? or sent in for repairs?

I remember reading about a program called ChangeName that let you set the ROM ID. It was Freeware. I've never tried it though.

setting romId on os5 is not done by that app. only one app does that and it is not publically available

i guess i'll go back to sony, i wonder if they will still do it for me since clie has been discontinued for such a long time, i'll try anyways. i think they may have forgetten to flash back the serial

err....multiuserhack doesnt give me a ROM ID still. ive decided not to go back to sony to reflash it because i dont want them messing up anything inside the clie if they open it up because i am outta warranty
