Are there any map or travel program that work like Yahoo!Maps where we can punch the starting address and the destination address then they will tell us the direction? I dont have the GPS unit but i really want something that works like Yahoo! Maps or Mapquest.
Thanks

Yes you can use them without GPS. With GPS the programs work better, but they do work without as well. The difference is that TripPilot (http://www.trippilot.com) needs to download the directions from internet. With Mapopolis (http://www.mapopolis.com) you can download the maps in advance and then plan offline.

Actually you can try both programs out for free. I think you can try TripPilot for a month and Mapopolis for a week or so. So just try them and see which suits you best.

Another option (comparable to TripPilot) would be to download a route description from the internet with Netfront and store it as a Page memo. You can then recall this route later.

Mapopolis RULES!!

As a Sales Rep, I am always looking for an address, or to keep from getting lost...

Mapopolis Platinum maps have everything you need. VFS compatible, too!

Highly recommended!

I would most definately recomend Mapopolis, but you'd better have ALOT of RAM available for thier Plantinum maps (GPS, Directions, etc) I live in LA and the 4 maps of LA county are a grand total of 8MB!!!! I'm still figuring out a way to run them completely off the MS but untill pidirect comes out with OS5 support I'm stuck transfering them back and forth into RAM from my MS. LA is one of the biggest maps so if you live in the boonies then don't worry. Otherwise Mapopolis rocks and is the best map program for the PalmOS!!!! (saved my *** more than once)

BTW thier support is excellent too

I used it today to find a Lawyer's office in downtown Raleigh. Mapopolis led me right to the front door of the building, and all I had to put in was the street address.

Mapopolis totally kicked when I had it goin with my GPS on my Visor. [sigh] Those were the days.

Wow.. I just realized a CF GPS card would be the answer to my prayers! Why hadn't I even thought about that before? :D Now.. I just have to write the drivers... lol... I'll get right on that.

Can mapopolis give you cross-country directions if you have the maps?

Haven't tried it, but I think you'd run out of RAM before you could do that. It still loads all of the maps it needs into RAM.
