Upgrading NetFront - is it possible?

Hi there,

I'm a new TJ37 user, and new to this forum. I just have a question about the NetFront browser that comes with Clie. The version is 3.1, but have anyone notice that when you go to web sites now, due to the browser version, it would display differently than normal IE / Firefox browsers.

For example, if you go to Google news page, and want to click on the link to the news item, it would have an error saying "Schema not supported". I think it is due to the version of NetFront being old and not able to handle newer HTML codes.

So any one have good recommandations on what to do? Is it possible to upgrade the browser to newer version? Any other alternate browsers on Palm OS 5 out there?

You probably could upgrade NetFront but there are no newer versions to upgrade to. Sadly, NetFront is probably the best browser currently available for the Palm platform.

You could probably try changing your user agent but if the website you're trying to visit isn't in a format NetFront can recognize, you're out of luck.
