Hi all.
Do any of you know a program that can reset the palm everynight?
Best regards
Benjamin.

If you can use them (and I assume you can because you posted in the TX forum), two back-up programs that I know of will do this. One is Resco Backup and the other is NVBackup. Both can be set to soft reset after a scheduled backup, but they both are for NVFS devices only. NVBackup is free.
Then there are programs like 2 Play Me that can execute any application of your choice at a time you specify. You could couple that with one of the many appications that perform a soft reset on command.

2PlayMe actually has it's own option to schedule a reset without the need for additional apps... However, I HIGHLY recommend use of a backup program and either one that FerdFerd has mentioned here is an excellent choice!! :)

I personally use LookAtMe to run mReset at a scheduled time. I do it before and after my Backup.

FYI,
RescoBU now does a clearing of cache after backup, verify, & update of backup sets.

Thanks. I am aware of it but noticed that for whatever reason, scheduled backups are MUCH slower and sometimes, certain programs are skipped! That is way too scary for me. With the older version, I have not experienced such problems. So, I'm perfectly happy with the older version and scheduling the resets.

I do exactly the same thing, works great. I also use LookAtMe to initiate a hotsync in the middle of the night using a program called 1TapSync. This way, I get fresh news waiting for me to read in Plucker.

I suppose you have your Palm plugged in to your PC during the night, and that's how you have your Plucker documents updates, correct? Or is there a way to update (i.e.: download and parse) straight in the Palm through an Internet connection?

Many apps can. I use 2PlayMe which has a special choice of system reset. I schedule this before the beginning of each day (8:55am). Other apps allow you to execute any app, in which case you can get a freeware app like mreset and just invoke it at the appropriate time.

Write their tech support. Resco is a great company, and they would really want to hear from you. (As a developer, one thing I find somewhat annoying is when someone posts a bug somewhere on a forum I don't read, and doesn't drop me an email so I can fix it.)

Worst case contact Tamoggemon Communications at
TAMOG at GMX dot AT
We do the communication for Resco and can forward your wish to the developer!

Everyone is aware that the complaint about Resco Backup was posted in 2006, aren't they?
I myself have always found it to be speedy, accurate, and absolutely reliable. It was the first program I bought after getting my TX in 2005. (Unfortunately, I didn't yet know about NVBackup at that time.)
