Hey all,

I'm a longtime Palm owner (early 1990s) and have been using my Tungsten C for a couple years now. I use it to watch clips, listen to music/podcasts and on and on. My present case holds two SD cards and I've been using three 1 GB cards. Of course they're filled.

I just bought a Kingston 2GB card to replace one of them and can't get the machine to recognize it. I've tried formatting it with my PC in both Fat and Fat32 formats with no change. I've tried to install a couple of the drivers that I've found here and elsewhere and nothing changes.

I realize this may be a bit repetitive but I've been reading several threads here and, no matter what I try, the results remain the same. My XP PC can see the card but the Palm won't recognize it when I insert the card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks,
Trevor

I memory serves, I know of no one that ever got more than a 1G card to work. I have both a 512 & 1gb and never even attempted a 2 because of all the bad posts that were going around. Don't know if you've got a keeper there but good luck!

There is a Palm Knowledg Library article on maximum card sizes for each model with slots, don't remember the number, but believe the TC is capped at 1GB. Remember there were no 1GB cards available when the TC was released.

You are lucky anyway.
I've tried two 2GB cards in my T3 and fried both!

Then started digging around and found that apparently the largest ones supported by my palm are the (rather uncommon) 1.5 GB ones.

I read in another post- that the TC can't read 2gb. I tried installing a 2GB card and it wasn't recognized. Only 1GB.
