hi,

well we all know there are only 11MB available but what about all those flash rom programs that let u store stuff on the rom?

Yes, 4.4MB is available on the NX70 Clie.

I use JackFlash and have nearly 3 megs of programs running in flash. It works great and Ihaven't had any problems whatsoever.

Worth every penny I spent.

now if you do a hard reset does that erase everything you put into the rom?

So actually it ends up with a similiar amount of memort as the other palms - I wonder why they didnt use the rom for what they are using the ram and left us with the ram.

Does it really annoy u people - the 11MB thing I mean?

and what programs are already on the rom - like i heard that the web browser is big... and there are pleanty of other clie programs

Is it possible to put Netfron and Clie Mail into ROM?

I might well invest in this program!!

The ROM is really slow to write too (compared to RAM), so thats why it is used for read-only functions and the RAM is used for what it's used for:confused:

The 11MB doesn't really bother me, the MS is fast so most of my apps are run off there. Any apps that need to sync are either in RAM or on the flash ROM. I don't use PowerRun, but thats a good app to use if the RAM starts running out.

Yes, both these apps run fine from ROM.

now if you do a hard reset does that erase everything you put into the rom? Nope! and that's the beauty of it! :) They are still there waiting for you to 'recover'. You'll have to use the small app called 'FlashEnable' that comes with JackFlash to see them, but they're there.
