playing movies from Clie on PC

Hi

I have bought a memory stick 128mb and I am taking movies with my clie NX70. I am really thick. I have tried to play the movies on my pc wich is a sony Vaio and can use the memory stick directly on the computer . I am using Quicktime and checked the instructions and the clie forum and I can't play the movies it keeps saying that quiktime can't associate this type of file.

Can somone please help me and tell me step by step what to do. I have read the instructions and still have no idea. Please help.

Use Quicktime 6.0 to view the movies after you change the extension of the movie files.

Copy the movies to your hard drive

Rename the movies from *****.mqv to *****.mov

In other words all you need to do is rename the extension

I know everyone says to rename the files.. but you don't have to.

I don't bother renaming them and I can double click (and automatically open my mqv files in quicktime) or launch quicktime and open them manually.

One way you can associate these file types with Quicktime 6 is:

1) Right click on the file and select properties
2) On the "General" tab, find "Opens with" and click "change"
3) Select "Quicktime Player Application" and hit OK.

If your problem is simply with file associations, this can save you the hassle of always having to rename your .mqv files to something your player recognizes.
