View Full Version : Replacement internal T3 batteries?

I think my T3's internal battery is due to be replaced. However, most of the suppliers I've checked have only got the 900mAH Li-Ion battery that was original equipment with the T3. Don't I have any other options? I read someone's post in this forum referring to an 1100mAH battery. Is it possible to get more capacity inside the casing? What about Li-Poly? Has anyone made a Li-Poly battery for T3?

I look forward to any replies.

Some people managed to squeeze a 1200 mAh battery in their T3s (With much difficulty), but good luck finding the battery (You may be in luck if you search a LOT, but I don't know if you'll be able to find one). 1100 mAh batteries are fairly easily found and will fit in the T3 without TOO much trouble. Or you could get an external charging device (Like BoxWave's USB charger combined with 4 high-capacity, rechargeable batteries) and their miniSync cable (I haven't tried it yet -- but I probably will. I've heard of some success with it from other T3 owners).

I read the 110 page battery mod thread on brighthand and it gave some VERY useful information, but most of the batteries talked about aren't readily available anymore. So...good luck finding a suitable battery for your T3 (And feel free to post about your adventures if you do find a good battery).

I just read your other post about external battery packs...maybe I won't try the BoxWave charger. :o

1100mAh batts are all over eBay. One question about this though: how the heck do you open the case from the bottom. I did it a few times, but now, I find that it's impossible since the bottom is not separable like in the TT/T2. I forgot how to do it!

You don't have to separate the shells of the slider.

its easy - and I can recommend 1000 or 1100 maH batteries - doesn't sound a lot more but my t3 holds 2 days of normal use versus 8 -10 hs

I know, but I still don't see how I can force them out without pulling up. :-/
