View Full Version : Site Suggestion General Backgrounds section for Launchers

Hey guys & gals. I have Zlauncher, YiShow, and MegaLauncher, all of which can use backgrounds. When I'm looking for new backgrounds for ZL (my current fave), I always end up in the YiShow backgrounds area, simply for the thousands that are there. Since these are just .jpg files, and really aren't specific to any one launcher in particular, how about we move that area to an upper level and rename it to something generic, like "Backgrounds". Nah nah?

I know Reggie's working on it. (Have you seen the gorgeous backgrounds in the ZL skin section?)

Yeah, they're nice too. They're all nice, so I end up hitting every folder. It will be nice once they're consolidated.

Thanks for the hint...I have been playing with ZLauncher for 3 wks now and wanted to try out different backgrounds. I will go right there!

Yeah, it would be more convenient if the clasifications are consolidated
As a ZLauncher user I've downloaded several background from the YiShow section
But who would be the responsible for such task?

I believe they are going to be sorted by size & classification. Not by Launcher . . .

It's just a matter of time!:)

Do you have to convert the images or something before you sync them to the handheld or do you just shove it in there

I thought that is what the Skins (http://www.cliesource.com/sdownload/index.php?op=showfiles&catid=21&sortby=date&sortorder=DESC) section is for? :confused:

Skins are for, well, skinning... e.g., skinning the launcher (a/k/a themes). These tend to be app-specific (ZL theme doesn't work on YiShow doesn't work on SilverScreen, and so on). Whereas backgrounds, as you know, are just image files... so they'll work across the board.

If you're looking for a ZL theme, it truly is annoying to have to go through a bunch of backgrounds to find them. It's doubly annoying to have to go to a YiShow section.

CS needs to clean up that section then as it contains both themes & backgrounds mixed up together.
