Has anyone figured out how to apply functions to the JogDial for the Audioplayer? I seen some hacks but the correspond to other versions of Clies and do not work for Palm 5 even with TealMaster. Sucks to have to open the TG50 to change the song. I already use an inline volume control so I don't mind. *sigh* Got spoiled with the remote in my old NR70V. Damn Sony for not putting one in TG50.

It's not the same as with the old clies, but you can move to the next song with the Jog Dial if you leave the audioplayer in "List Mode" display as opposed to the "Single Track" display. That will scroll down the list, but then you need to Press the Jog Dial down to play the next song.

what i do to change my songs/change volume :

(in the main audio player window)

-roll the jog dial to change the volume
-depress the jog dial button a while to switch to playlist window

(in the playlist window)

-roll the jog dial and depress the button to change the song
-depress the jog dial button a while again to adjust the volume

guess thats the only way to go unless you get the expensive audio controller/

(by the way, does anyone know if normal earphones with a fwd/backward/play button would work on a clie ?

thanks

Scott

Thanks for the tip scott... I didn't know holding down the dial switched modes.

Could you give an example of normal earphones with a fwd/backward/play button? Do they do that through a standard audio jack or does it have the extra control pins like the clie remotes? I don't think I've ever seen remotes w/o the extra connectors.
