I've selected a $225 as a reserve price. So if you offer me more than $225, the LifeDrive will be yours. I am in Norwalk, California, so if you live in the states and have PayPal I would appreciate if you can buy me this unit.

This is the Palm LifeDrive with the original receipt, this item was bought in October 2005. I've used it since November (9 months) I have never dropped it to the floor, and it's a unit in good condition. I'm seeling it because I want a lighter Palm, and sometimes the infrared is lost after a reset, so I have to restore the memory and the reboots take 2 minutes. I want a faster Palm.
Here is the full package and the original price of the units or software:
* Palm Life Drive - 2 month warranty - $200
* Palm Aluminum Hard Case for LifeDrive PDA $28
* 3 Pen Stylus Pens - $5
* 128 MB SD card - $1
* 10 Palm Universal Screen Protectors - $5
* Palm LifeDrive Aluminum Metal Case + Belt Clip - $5
--SOFTWARE---
* Agendus for Palm OS Professional Edition - $39.95
* Agendus Mail Standard Edition - $19.95
* Warpspeed - $10
* Ultra Dynamic Memory Hack - $10
* MasterKick - $20
* Skin UI - $10
Total price would be $354, (keep in mind that I sell the unit for $200, that's 50% less of a new unit)
I dont think you can legally pass on the registered, commercial software....they are licensed to you, not the device!!

I dont think you can legally pass on the registered, commercial software....they are licensed to you, not the device!!Yes, most software in licensed to the individual, not to the device (though most limited to one device). However, many end user license agreements do have a transfer clause that basically says that you can transfer the software to someone else provided that the other individual also agrees to the terms of the license. Each license would have to be check individually.

You know, this thread is a perfect example of why even those few of us who DO want to be honest and do the right thing and actually BUY software (rather than use the readily available cracked stuff) just get peed off. These heavy-handed restrictions are counter productive in my opinion.
Maybe Im over reacting a little but it really REAllY annoys me when people try to tell me what I can do with something Ive already bought. No copyng for other people I can understand but for yourself ? and then not be able to sell on the device which holds the software (naturally giving up your right to use the software yourself anymore). Drives me bonkers!

No, provided xbaez uses the same Hotsync name on the TX and does not transfer copies of the licensed software and reg codes with the LifeDrive to new owner.

but xbaez wants to buy a TX it seems so does that mean additional reg codes will be purchased for the new device??? ;)Assuming everything is being done correctly, then xbaez is transferring license to all of these listed applications to the purchaser of the Lifedrive. Therefore, xbaez must for each application either: Purchase new license.
Choose to no longer use the application.

Drives me bonkers!Agreed. I despise EULAs. If one wants to do anything even slightly out of the ordinary, and sometimes things one would expect to be ordinary, one has to read pages of legalize to determine if and how one can do it. Even after reading, one maybe still in the dark.
Software should be sold, and then only copyright laws should apply. It would then be very clear what one can and cannot do.
If one buys a book, can one then: Transfer ownership to another, without notifying the publisher?
Tear a page out of the book (provided it is not the copyright page)?
Write in the margin?
Cut a picture out of the book, and tape it into your scrapbook?
Write a review of the book, without the publisher's permission?
No, provided xbaez uses the same Hotsync name on the TX and does not transfer copies of the licensed software and reg codes with the LifeDrive to new owner.But that would then be in violation of copyright laws and/or the EULAs; by not transferring the licenses.

that is EXACTLY what he is going to do IMHO. If not, then the software on board is effectively worthless, so why mention it..
