Hi,
Any experience out there of using SD cards with the T5 in the real world (never mind what Palm says!)

A little history - just bought a SanDisk Ultra II 2 GB card, after a short period of use, it totally failed (not recognised/unformattable by T5 or PC in drive mode) I don't have a card reader, so cannot test it that way, but suspect a "flakey" card. I am therefore returning it to the vendor, and am looking for something a little more "conservative"

In particular, can anybody recommend a type/size of SD card for the T5?

Many Thanks,
PH

I'm using a Lexar Platinum 1GB 40x speed SD card, so far (about a month) I've had no problems in my Tungsten|E and a Tungsten|T5 I've been testing. As a side note, my Palm branded 512MB MMC card is actually faster by all indications (faster by maybe 15% read speed, and at least 50% write speed).

I have 4 of those cards you have and they all work fine. So far I have used the following cards with a T5:
Sandisk Ultra II 2GB
Sandisk Ultra II USB Plus 1GB
Sandisk 2GB
Ultra 1GB
PNY 1GB
Sandisk 512
Kingston 128
Kingston 512
And some other <1GB ones.

I think you should return the SD card to the vendor to be replaced by a new one. It is not common for a Sandisk brand SD card to fail. Currently I'm using a Toshiba 1 GB SD Card and I have no problem using it.
