Whenever I try to open my MQV file with Quicktime, it immediately starts to play only ONE of the videos that I have filmed with my Clie. How am I able to choose from the selection of films that I have made? It only ever allows me to play just that one!

Double click on the movie file itself. As long as the file extension .mqv is associated with Quicktime on your PC, it'll start up.

There may be an easier way, but this is what I do...

GOOD LUCK!

Sorry, I'm a bit slow. What do you mean, double click on the file itself? In the 'My Documents' section? There is only one icon that says 'MQV', and it comes up with the same movie. Is there a transferral procedure from the Clie that I don't know about?

If you run the MS Import program (on the clie) Your should be able to browse the MemoryStick where there is a MQV file for each movie oyu have made. You can copy them to the PC from here and run them.

Maybe best to rename myfile.MQV to myfile.MOV them you can double click without file associating.

How do you browse the MemoryStick when you are on the MS Import screen on the Clie?

It's geek speak for a power user :).

Knowing your way around a desktop PC and using a file manager is a prerequisite to being able to move files around, that's above and beyond HotSyncing.

chisler, it might really prove helpful for you to read the Software documentation that can be found on the CD that came with your Clie.

MSImport is a software on your Clie that you start while your Clie is in the cradle. It connects with your PC and makes the Memory Stick of your Clie appear as an external drive to your PC. E.g.when you have a drive "C:" and a CDROM named "D:" the Memory Stick may appear as drive "E:".

You can use Windows Fileexplorer on your PC to browse or copy the files to or from Memory Stick. If you shot movies with your NX70, you will find a directory \MQ_ROOT\100MQV01 and the movies are named Mov00001.mqv, Mov00002.mqv etc. Best way to play them is to copy them to your PC, rename them to Mov00001.mov, Mov00002.mov etc. and then play them with Quicktime.

Hope this is helpful....

Thanks Michael! (I do find the Sony Clie manual system very vague and unnecessarily hard to navigate through: one book or CD ROM isn't enough for them? - but I'm just delighted to know how to play my movies!)
