Well, I am afraid I have dropped it one too many times.
I was going to write in and ask if there is a way to reprogram the "back" button. The button on the back that takes me back to the desktop. I love that button. Since the last drop that button has not been functioning.
Now, it is totaly not working. It would not turn on this morning so I attempted a soft reset. I got the Palm screen that starts the process, but it did not go anywhere from there. It only fades out. I cant even turn it off now. All I have is the backlight on and some vertical strips on the screen.
I am shopping for a new pda. I am torn between biting the bullet and going with the microsoft OS or staying with Palm. And then, which is the one that will give me what I am use to; ie, long battery life and an awsome screen.
OK, any thoughts on this will be a great help.
Thanks,
M

Have you tried hard reset or unplug the battery connector for 5 minutes and reconnect it?

I have complete spareparts for TH55. If you are willing to have me looked at it and find which part(s) is (are) broken, then I can tell you how much the repair is going to cost you. It should be less than $100 since the LCD is all right. Otherwise, Sony will repair it for a flat fee of $150 and 3 months warranty. I do give one-year warranty to all my repairs (including parts, labor, and return shipping). Just send me a PM if you are interested in my repair work.

If you are willing to do it yourself and you know exactly which part(s) is (are) broken, then I can sell you my spareparts too at 50% of Sony spareparts cost as mine are all used spareparts, except for the battery. I do carry Sony battery.

Dan,
It is back alive! Thanks. I unpluged it and left it that way for 5 min.
I have gone out and bought the Palm TX. What a let down after using the TH55.
It is too bad that sony got out of this.
Thanks,
Mike
