NX Memory Stick Pro Update /Status Skins

Has anyone who has installed the MS Pro update for the NX had any problems with the status bar skins not working, or working differently? I see that on the list of updates, the status bar skin is updated to version 1.11 while the previous version was 1.0. (The NZ came with version 1.10 and I have heard of some compatiblity problems)

The status skin update is to display the key over the MS when the stick is write protected. Before the patch the key was not displayed. (Based on my observation)

I don't have the ms pro update installed yet (stupid computer won't recognize my device anymore, but thats another story) and my status bar shows the key when my MS is locked.

Is this only a problem on the MS Pro? Because my MS also show a key over the MS icon when write protected.

the key shows it's self with the standard sticks, but if no updates are installed it wont show the key for my Pro stick when it's in write protect mode, but it is locked and the NX will not write to it.

I think this just has to do with the fact that the NX doesn't have native compatibility with the Pro sticks.

I guess you both were confused because I didn't say the Pro stick, I just meant the MS Icon in the status bar.

Isn't that what one of the patches address at the Sony sight? (Device not being recognized I mean)

So far I have no problems with the MS Pro software or my new 256mb stick:)

I tried that patch and it still doesn't work. Both hotsync and MSImport has USB device not recognized under Windows XP and Windows 2000. Still works under Windows 98 and 95 though.

That sucks. I have XP too. I have that pop up every once in a while and I have to unplug the USB from one of those "hubs" and then plug it back in and everything goes back to normal.

after I patched, I had an odd behaviour of the batt. indicator of my skins. I reverted to Statusbar v1.00 and the skins behave as they are designed.
