Why is it that programs like Java (1) or Netfront (2) cannot copy (1) from SD to RAM and install/must be hotsync/IR/BT? or (2) not hotsyncable and must be copied from card?

Annoying, isn't it?
Why? I blame the developers.
What? I installed Java from my card ;)
I wrote a two line OnBoardC app that sends the Java installer the HotSync command so it thinks it got HotSynced and installs.
I might be doing it wrong, because after installing, I need to soft reset.
But it works. I installed it twice :)

This isn't the only problem of the IBM JavaVM. Isn't there anybody who wants to develop a new one? :D

Can you release the source or prc? I found the onboardc.sourceforge.net site but I am not programmer. Thanks

Oh. Yes. Sure. I rewrote the code and this version does not require a reset.
But I lost the code (accidental delete). It would have been open source... (MIT)
Go here (http://www.ecf.utoronto.ca/~goodi/html/software.html) to see the license and click Palm Software and download it from there.
Enjoy!
