hey all, im in major need of help
today when i was using documents to go i got a: 'Fatal Exception' Reset window. after a soft reset[i actually got another fatal exeption during the tungsten screen after the first reset, thank god it hasnt happened again] i tried a few more times and got the same error.
So i decided to see if a hotsync would help, only to have my palm freeze at the very end of the sync (i mean after both the computer and the E2 made the 'hotsynch complete' sounds) with the following error:
MemoryMgr.C,Line:3822
nil Ptr
This now happens whenever i sync. i went to palms support forums and found my problem
there (http://forums.palm.com/pe/action/forums/displaysinglethread?rootPostID=20296913&returnExpertiseCode=) apperently it was to do with documents to go. It was reccomended (http://support.dataviz.com/support.srch?DocID=13149) that you delete 18 .prc and pbb files from your \program files\documents to go\ dir. on your pc then re-install docs to go. I deleted as many as it said but there were many left over, and hotsync'd.still the same error during hotsync.
There was one person there that had the exact same error message as me during their sync, and he said that the re-install didnt work for him, but deleting docs to go off of his computer and his pda fixed the problem.
So i deleted docs to go from my computer, but now i cant seem to find how i remove it from my E2 i cant find Docs to go on the delete menu.
Now i tried sync'ing an image to my card and it seems to have made it fine despite the freeze at the end of the sync. im not sure about appications though, and a little bit reluctant to try.
I am super duper ridiculously stumped on this, and admittedly a little panicy (If you couldnt tell by the really long post)

Can anyone help me?

does anyone know how to uninstall docs to go from the E2 itself? i cand find it on the delete menu. do i need a third party uninstall manager, or can this actually be done through the standard launcher?

Docs to Go 7 will give error messages when you edit the second instance of a document. Best to change settings to Save and Exit and always remember to use the door in the toolbar to exit.

anybody?Try the DataVizTech tool. This tool can remove DTG temporary files, move parts of DTG to your card, or completely uninstall it.

There is a download link here:

After reading several threads on several sites I first removed my extension card and did a hard reset and re-sync'ed the E2. I then formatted my extension card with all the "Docs to Go" documents. After this the 3822 message stopped coming up after sync'ing. Don't ask me for any logic in this !!
Anyone know of any more stable PDAs out there?

Since yesterday when my TE2 started functioning again I've spent more time trying to make it function than working! I now get with any sync <<< Fatal Alert VFSDBCache.c,Line:4051,unattached record >>> with the only choice of doinf a Reset, and a log report of << Could not close remote database. Error Code 10006410 - Note Pad synchronization failed - HotSync Error: Connection is lost (6410) >>>
I've done the rounds of various sites where either the chat is too technical for me to understand or any solutions I've tried don't work. I just want to stop wasting time and be able to do what I bought the E2 for = have it work for me, not me for it !!
To repeat Glo-Kidd >> is it possible to wipe the TE2 itself and bring it back to factory default?
At the worst, can anyone recommend a simple PDA, of any make and model which does work and to which I could transfer all my data ??!!
Thanks in advance for any input

Rename the Backup folder on your computer that is within the folder resembling your Hotsync Name.

Hard reset the E2.

Review application compatibility list for Treo 650 and T5 (there is no E2 list) at palmfocus.com.

Sync.

Re-install third-party apps from the renamed Backup folder on your computer only if they pass muster at palmfocus. Otherwise, get newer versions of the apps.

Dick Tracy,

Thank you after following your instructions my TE2 synced correctly.

As a new Garoolgan-Backup directory has been created, do I delete the old one that I renamed or leave it there.

Again, thank you
