What good games are available for the Palm TX?

I have already PDAmill classics, Arvale, and Legacy. I would like to know which are the best, best looking, best playing. Also, which are the best in catagory type games like Action, Rpg, Card and Game Pack games that would be good on the Palm Tungsten series or now the T series.

I'd start with Astraware (http://www.astraware.com/) games. They are probably one of the more popular game developers for handheld devices. Bejeweled and Bejeweled 2 are extremely popular.

I have installed quite a few games, including AcidSolitaire by red-mercury.com, Navada Casino by Standalone Software, Multiplayer Championship Poker by Realdice.com, Pool Deluxe by Deluxeware, and Trivial Pursuit by Handmark.

Where does a person download a trial of EDGE? I tried at one website (a person's not a store's) and it stopped before finishing. Also, Handango.com does not offer that game. THAT is why I have not tried it yet or bought it. So which online store or place would be a good place? Thanks, KCDavid :)

EDGE runs fine on my TX. I have MemUnfragment installed, and it is sufficient. I went to http://www.zanegames.com/ to download the try and even bought some days later:-)

Hi,
I just completed reviewing SkyForce reloaded and will publish soon - it is a must have. For other games, look here:

From my experience - (factoring in graphics and playability (with the gamepad too) )

Puzzle - Bejeweled 2, Blocks,
Sports - BowlingDeluxe, Billiards, 3DTableTennis, TennisAddict, Mini Golf, MicroQuad
Action - Zap2016, SkyForce, Breakout, RocketChu(Japanese freeware..try to find the site)
Action/RPG - StoneAge, MagicWorld (hard to get those two now though I think), WareFareInc. SimCity(also freeware but hard to find)

However, im a huge supporter of Old-school gaming Emulators and if you can get the NESem, Gbulator, and Gizmo you can play a TONS more games (that is, if you were around back in those times when the NES and SegaMaster System was king) - I never tried that LittleJohn Player (is that what it was called?)

ON a personal note, im quite tired of seeing almost 90% of all the Articles/posts in this "games" section all about Legacy and its varied expansion sets. While it is indeed an awesome game, PLEASE someone, anyone who has their ear/eyes to the ground with other groups or companies putting out new games..post something here! I know the Palm system is slowly losing ground in terms of gaming in todays market but I'm sure there are some people who put out good games still and I for one would like to read about them other than Legacy-this and Legacy-that..

Gamepad? Do you have this generic BT gamepad? Then you might also try ZDoomZ or ZHeretic :-) Also I hope I will get Stratagus once up and running, as WarFareInc. is a bit boring after a while.

Warfare Inc? Boring? I've been playing WI for well, since it started. Haven't gotten bored, yet.

Heh. Having said that, I sure wouldn't mind playing Stratagus on the ol' TX....

Well, even the old Dune II had more and nicer units than Warfare Inc. It is ok, but the limited number of different units makes it a bit simple in the game play. And then there isn't a way to change the site and play with a different unit set.
About Stratagus, or better Warcraft, after days of debugging the Lua-interpreter seems to be still buggy. As far as one can fix this (I hardly understand what it's doing) PalmOS would have another really cool game.

Ouch. :p Yeah, gotta give that point to you. WI doesn't really boast a wide variety of anything, does it? I guess whenever I start thinking that I might get bored with it, I just write another mission pack! I'd probably compare it to a stripped down Command and Conquer before I compared it to anything. Still one of my favorite games either way.

I'd sure love to see something different in the RTS area that worked on the TX, though. Say, if you ever get Stratagus to the point where you'd be willing to take on a slightly used beta tester, let me know! ;)

Hi,

You may try Lunar lander Simulator 2.0 if you are into realistic flight simulator. Lunar lander of course simulate the Moon Apollo landing pretty closely (it is actually the most realistic simulator ever develloped on a Palm/Treo devices!). You can get a full version (7 days trial) at:

LEM Simulator 2.0 at PalmGear (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&PartnerREF=&siteid=1&prodid=118189&siteid=1)

One word of caution: I am the develloper of Lunar Lander Simulator 2.0 so please take this suggestion with a grain of salt! Still you may have fun checking out this game. It should run fine on TX,TC,T3,T5,LifeDrive,Treo 600/650,Zire 72.

Have fun!

Mo.
