To all,
anyone have a similar situation like this happen? I am using either my Sony Clie Cradle and a 3rd Party USB / Serial Cable, neither are being recognized in relation to USB. The Seral connection however is recognized when using the 3rd Party Serial cable

Note: The version of the Sony Clie cradle, only has a USB connection.

I have posted this already in a few posts.

I have been using a N760 and T665 for a long time, I had the same problems when I upgraded to Palm Desktop 4.1 FOR PALM. The reason is that the USB driver does not recognize the CLIE, they are absolutely different.

Uninstall PD4.1 and Install PD for CLIE 4.0.1, everything will work fine then.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I was wondering about the upgrade before, just not sure if it's worth the trouble. I'm glad that you mention otherwise. Were there compeling reasons for you to upgrade from 4.0.1 to 4.1?

figured it made sense conscidering the additional features involved in the software upgrade. But after the lack of connectivity between the USB cable and my handheld, I am conscidering backing up to 4.01. I am hoping that Sony will upgrade their version of the software.

Thanks
