Turn your handheld into a portable audio player; Launch apps by using a pop-up launcher window; and Quickly switch from your current app to the previous one by simply swiping your stylus. [details (http://www.1src.com/?m=show&id=1644)]

Doesn't seem any better. I paid $24.99 for the upgrade and it seems to skip more than the old version.

3.1.5 still skips when in background but it buffers much better such that there isnt the continuous HD access that characterised preious versions...havent tried 3.1.6 but Im sure it wont fix the skipping issue on LD..

why pay $25 unless you particularly want the deluxe version - these updates are free for LD and TX owners (not deluxe of course)...

I agree. Pocket Tunes is a great app, but without AAC support, it's completely useless to me.

Yeah, I wanted the deluxe version, but didn't realize many of the features like crossfade and EQ make the skips worse. If I had it to do again I would have saved my money, but I did at least want the bookmarking and occasionaly streaming.

Why is acc so important. I brought a head unit for my car that had acc. Took way longer to convert the podcasts than it did to burn them to a 4x re-writable cd. Upon testing the acc - yes they played, and so what? The mp3's played just as well. If your intending to use pocket tunes to play back itunes purchased music, forget it. If its purchased, its drm'edm and unplayable in anything without its specific key.

a lot of mac users will have imported their cd's into itunes using aac (since that is the default anyway), so without reconverting, its a problem...AFAIK, there is a possibility that PT will support aac in the furture but there are issues with licensing from Apple etc etc so dont hold your breath.

First of all, I have alot of non-DRM AAC music files, second, I subscribe to alot of podcasts, and I prefer to get the enhanced AAC versions with chapter markings and embeded images. So without AAC support in pTunes much of my audio library is unplayable on my Treo. Yes I realize that TCPMP and AeroPlayer can play AAC, but I like pTunes the best because I can stream my audio library directly to my Treo without doing any file copying.

One function I wish pTunes had is the ability to automatically mute or lesson the sound of alarms to the same level as the music I am listening to.

I have made this suggestion to NormSoft in the past but it would appear to have fallen one dead ears (sic!).

Anyway, does any one know of a program that can do this?

thanks,
Sta
