I've been reading all the hype about bejeweled and how addicting and great it is... so i installed it last night. I have to say, I think it has been given a name bigger than it's worth. I don't find the game all that great. How do you guys/gals feel about it?

It's pretty addicting for me, but to be honest I sometimes feel embarrassed for liking what basically amounts to a glorified matching exercise. It's like, "Oooo, shiny!"

Way back when it first came out, I bought my girlfriend a clie 7x0c, and she was playing it ALL THE TIME. I tried it once or twice and didn't really get into it. Then after we broke up, I, of course kept the clie, and before selling it beamed all the programs over to my treo 90, and played that game so much it scared me, and I got jack for the treo on ebay when I sold it because the screen was so worn.

lol yes screen protectors are good. However, I messed up putting my first one on so i have an ugly bubble in the middle of the screen right now. all well.

Trick- Some of them I only had for a matter of days, I think it was mostly just trying to find "the perfect" one and I wanting to try a little bit of everything. I need something to occupy my time and money, and aside from my girlfriend, it was this or drinking. I think I chose the less or two evils. I think :-\

I really really hate screen protectors. I understand, in the long run, blah blah blah, but nothing looks quite as crisp and sharp as that display just outta the box.

Try playing bejeweled (The timed version) with a mate or your girlfriend. Its really fun! Its like two people looking out at the same time. As the whole arrangement of jewels reset if there are no moves left, Its harder to loose. You just need an extra stylus and try not to tap the screen at the same time. :)

Bejeweled is okay, but got old quickly for me. Now I am addicted to Astraware's other game called Bounce Out! All those cute little balls bouncing out when I get three in a row, fun bright colors and sound affects "had me at Hello!" I'm an idiot for that stuff! LOL

I like bejeweled too. But my wife likes it much more. She used to take my NX and plays it at every place (you know what i mean when i say every place*?!   ;)

You know: Diamonds are a girls best friend...
Thats why i bought myself a NX70 and my wife got the T625. Now she can play bejeweled and i donīt have to look for my nx.

I'm still hooked on Bejeweled. It killed my Palm V screen, because back then I didn't know anything about screen protectors (and luckily, my Palm III was gone before Bejeweled was out, hehe)... but it's a great way to quickly kill some time and compete with my friend over top scores.

The only thing that I hate about it is that it kills MP3 playback when I run it, even if all sounds are set to Off! :(

Pseudo Nim,
What clie are you using? I had that problem with my NR.

I'm not a huge fan of puzzle games. Insaniquairum and Dinomyte are too really good titles as well. But I can't wait for Astraware to come out with the Hi-Res GTS racing! :D

When I first tried Bejewled I thought - eh? Not too exciting. My friend was telling me how much she was addicted to it, so I installed it again to see what I had missed. She recommended a timed game. Now that made it more fun. And then with the addition of high res and enhanced sound, I LOVE it. It's a perfect in-between game. Like when you have a few minutes while waiting in line, and you don't want to get involved with a game that requires a lot of thought. Mindless activity - that's the ticket.

The best Bejewled game I ever had was when my wife and I were in the hospital waiting for our third child to be born...

"Oh my God.., I just broke 90,000...."

"Dear, that's nice but.... I'M IN LABOR OVER HERE !!!!!"

"Oh ..um...does that mean I have to stop...??"

;-)

Anybody else with some high scores?? I know its pretty weak but I've done 92,700
